He's male, he's just a bag of bones. Either he has an eating disorder or he has some horrible condition that means he starves no matter what he eats.

There was a movie a few decades ago, a kid who basically wanted to live as a hermit in the wilds of Alaska. Ate the wrong thing out there and didn't realize it at first -- it didn't occur to him that if a particular plant was poisonous, its seeds probably were as well, so he avoided the plant but ate the seeds.

Wound up dying of something called "alkali poisoning" -- it screws up your G.I. Tract so that your body no longer can extract nutrients from food, you die of starvation even if you're well-fed.

As screwballs as this guy is being set up to be, I could see something similar... or he's like the skinnier half of Hollywood and basically just doesn't eat, which is honestly just as awful.

I have a theory- I think Avalon is the child of Oidecalla, and they had some massive falling out which is why Avalon was banished. When Avalon uses his power, it has the same vibrant green and gold color scheme as Oidecalla, and both of them share a similar mug smile, haha

They do refer to Avalon as one of the Angels earlier on, so a lesser being of the same semi divine nature. Perhaps like a half breed with less power, but still far beyond mortals.
